“So shameless” – Nigerians slam Pinnick after ex-NFF boss was spotted in Qatar watching Brazil vs. Switzerland

The top administrator was the president of Nigeria’s number football body for eight years

Several Nigerian fans have voiced their displeasure at seeing the former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, watch one of the matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Pinnick was in charge of the NFF between October 2014 and 2022, and it was under his watch that the Super Eagles failed to secure a ticket to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

With the Super Eagles absent from the magnificent festival going on in Qatar, Nigerians have had to make do with cheering other African representatives: Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal, Morocco, and Tunisia.

But on Monday, Pinnick was spotted in the VIP section of Stadium 974 during Brazil’s matchday two clash against Switzerland.

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro scored the only goal of the encounter to lift Brazil to their second victory of Qatar 2022.

But Nigerians were more disappointed to see that despite the Super Eagles’ misfortune, Pinnick was enjoying himself in Qatar.

And many took to the social media platform Twitter to vent their frustration.

Below are some of their expressed views:

“See as Pinnick balance there. So shameless.”

Nigeria’s Super Eagles were at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where the team crashed out at the group stage after losing two and winning one of three games played.

  • The Author is shameless for his daftness. You should know his position before you uninformed criticism. He's with FIFA and CAF knuckle head.

    • But he used Nigerian football to fan his own nest.... All he did while as President of NFF was all about and promoting his ambitions at the detriment of promoting Nigeria football. Now we have another of his cohorts as the new NFF President and this means and portends more of the same heartbreaks for Nigerian football for the next decades if care is not taken. I say next decades because if the current chairman completes his first term of 4 years, he would go for a second and tries a third term. if he fails on the third, he arranges another from his group to continue the vicious circle and cycle of no movement. Either ways, Naija football loses.

  • ALAINITIJU OMO TIIKU LOOJO SUNA.
HE ATTENDED TO WATCH WHAT OTHER PRESIDENT WORKED FOR...... WHO EVEN BANK ROLED HIM

  • What more to say, he was the Chief Architect of our football downfall and he is not even ashamed...no achievements during his 8years tenure administration...he became NFF Chairman in 2014, at the back of Super Eagles winning Afcon in 2013...the next 2 Afcon tournaments 2015 & 2017 Super Eagles didn't qualify under his tenure....Afcon that is our birthright from 1980 till 2010 we always qualify and finish within the Semi - Final except 1998 we were banned for Abacha refusal to allow the team go S/Africa 1996. Our local league teams struggles to qualify for Africa Club competitions but Amaju was busy arranging himself without our football teams. Why sack G.Rotr, a coach who qualified us for major competitions...he could have qualified us for this World Cup if not for Pinnick self centeredness
    ....Naija leaders sha
