2022 FIFA World Cup: “What if Qatar vex scatter World Cup?”- Reactions trail after Senegal’s impressive victory against Qatar

The Qataris have been great hosts so far, but they could be the first country to exit the Mundial

The Teranga Lions of Senegal defeated Qatar 3-1 in their second group B game to put themselves in a good position to qualify from group A.

However, the result also puts Qatar in a precarious situation, as they are still without a point, and could exit the competition.

Senegal and Qatar were condemned to get a result when they squared off, as they both suffered 2-0 losses to Netherlands and Ecuador in their opening game of the World Cup.

However, coach Aliou Cisse’s side were a notch higher than their hosts, as Senegal took the game to Qatar from the blast of the whistle.

They eventually got their reward just before halftime, as Boulaye Dia put them in front just before halftime.

Tamara Diedhiou doubled Senegal’s lead just minutes into the second period. However, Qatar pulled one back through Mohammed Muntari in the 78th minute.

Unfortunately for Qatar, Senegal were just too good for them, as Bamba Dieng scored in the 84th minute to kill any hopes of a comeback.

The result puts Senegal in a very good position ahead of their final group game against Ecuador, as they just need a win to advance to the next round.

Following the result, Nigerian fans took to social media to share their thoughts, and most were surprised by Qatar’s poor performance in their first two games of the World Cup.
