Not again hammy! Ndidi out for a few weeks again

From calling out a journalist to returning to play against Nottingham Forest last weekend, Ndidi’s hamstring sent signals again

At the camp of the Super Eagles in Algeria, Wilfred Ndidi left after feeling something in his hamstring.

A journalist intimated that the player left camp due to an ongoing misunderstanding with Jose Peseiro, coach of the Super Eagles. But the Portuguese swiftly denied.

Ndidi also reacted to the tweet by the journalist and expressed his disappointment with the report which the player failed to deny at the time.

Some Nigerians raised eyebrows when the midfielder appeared for Leicester in Nottingham Forest thrashing sparking doubts on the veracity of his injury claims.

He however came off during the break with Boubacar Soumare taking his place.

Leicester coach, Brendan Rodgers has now confirmed that Ndidi was indeed injured and only got fit before the Forest game.

He also added that the player will be out for some weeks again.

Rodgers made the claims in a Press Conference on Thursday.

“In terms of the squad, Wilfred Ndidi will probably be out for a little bit,” Rodgers said in a press conference.

“He came back from international duty with a hamstring strain. He recovered well but he felt it at half-time in the game and he was a little sore, so he might miss a few weeks.”
