“This is Aso Ebi material”- Nigerians react after Nike releases new Nigerian jersey

Top sports kits manufacturers Nike released the new jerseys for Nigeria’s national teams on Thursday.

The new home jersey, like the the previous one has an African touch to it. Different shades of green are used to create the image of an Eagle.

Meanwhile, unlike the former away jersey which was all green, the new away jersey is white. However the sleeves have a touch of black triangles, while there is a patch of green just below the neckline.

The new kit has not exactly been welcomed with open hands. To some it is a great job from Nike, but to others the America-based kit manufacturers could do better.

Also, some fans complained that despite that the beautiful jersey, Nigeria would still not be at the World Cup.

The Super Eagles former jersey was the best at the last World Cup, recording the most sales. However, the new jersey would not be at the World Cup in Qatar because Nigeria failed to qualify.
