The three-time African champions will be without some of their best legs when they lock horns with Algeria, but Peseiro has confidence in the available players
Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro will be without some of his best players when Nigeria play Algeria on Tuesday, but he is confident of the players available in camp.
The last few weeks have not really been interesting for a lot of Super Eagles stars, as some of them have succumbed to injuries.
Victor Osimhen, Sadiq Umar, Jamilu Collins, Henry Onyekuru, Leon Balogun, Emmanuel Dennis, Wilfried Ndidi, and William Troost-Ekong are some of the players that are out of the friendly against Algeria because of injuries.
However, Algeria have most of their best legs, with coach Djamel Belmadi revealing that he would be fielding a strong team against the three-time African champions.
Nonetheless, Peseiro is undisturbed, as he believes that the players available would be able to do the job.
“We have other players that are very good, some players are in camp but for us, it is not important,” Peseiro told NFF TV.
“What is important is the players that are here. We believe in them, I have confidence in them, and they know what we must do tomorrow.
“It’s good for us that we have played one match. I have good players, and they will fight for the results.
Even though it is a friendly game, there is a lot at stake, especially for Nigeria who have failed to beat Algeria in their last three meetings.
Both teams failed to qualify for the World Cup, and winning the fixture could get them back in the good books of their fans.
