“He’s walking on water” – Super Eagles-eligible forward makes top Ligue 1 ratings

Super Eagles-eligible forward was sent on loan at the beginning of the season to gain valuable experience and game time

Folarin Balogun has been one of the Ligue 1’s biggest revelations of the season.

On loan from Arsenal at Reims, the English-born attacker has scored five goals in Ligue 1 already and has impressed greatly in the first few weeks he has spent.

In a list that comprises PSG’s Vitinha, Lois Openda, Dango Ouattara, and Balogun’s fellow Arsenal-loaned player, Nuno Tavares, Ouest France names Balogun number 2 on the list of the top revelations.

“In Reims, the summer hit has a strong English accent. On loan from Arsenal, Folarin Balogun has already established himself as a centerpiece of Oscar Garcia’s eleven,” the French publication wrote.

“If the start of the season for the Rémois is not flamboyant (14th, one victory, three draws, two defeats), Balogun is walking on water.”

Balogun is on an eminent list of scorers in France with world beaters, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe the only players who have scored more goals at eight and seven respectively.
