For just over forty minutes, the Nigerian star was a menace against Liverpool and caused all manners of problems for the Reds
Victor Osimhen missed a penalty and got substituted in the 42nd minute against Liverpool on Wednesday but he had done enough to leave a lasting impression on Manchester United fans.
The Mancunians enjoyed seeing their arch rivals suffer in Italy and reignited their desire to have Osimhen at Old Trafford in January or next season.
Goals from Piotr Zielinski, Andre-Franck Zambo Anguissa and Giovanni Simeone ensured Napoli hammered Liverpool at the Maradona.
Osimhen could have made the scoreline more humbling for Liverpool but missed from the spot. It however didn’t stop Napoli fans from giving him an arousing ovation.
For large parts of the summer window, Osimhen’s name was constantly mentioned alongside links to Man United with a swap deal even reported at some point. The Nigerian however didn’t leave Napoli but the Red Devils faithful want him in the fold.
Osimhen has attracted positive comments despite not being the perfect one and will hope to get fit soon enough.
