Trouble in paradise as Ten Hag frowns at Ronaldo’s ‘unacceptable’ behaviour

Manchester United lost to Atletico Madrid in a preseason game during the weekend but more than the result, Ronaldo stole headlines with an unsportsmanlike behaviour

Erik Ten Hag has expressed his displeasure with Cristiano Ronaldo’s behaviour on Saturday.

The Dutch manager said Ronaldo’s decision to leave after the break when the game sad still ongoing was unacceptable.

The former Real Madrid star had resumed late to the preseason training camp with Ten Hag revealing they bad discussed and were on good terms.

Linked with an exit all summer, Ronaldo has until now been unable to find a suitable club to take up his huge wages.

 

“I don’t certainly accept this. I think this is unacceptable. For everyone”, Ten Hag told Viaplaysportnl.

“We are a team and you have to stay until the end”

A section of the media and the United fanbase have called for Ronaldo’s exit from the club, citing his desire to be out of the club and his disrespect to the people in charge.

Ronaldo bad flirted with the possibilities of leaving with Chelsea and Bayern Munich recently discussed as potential destinations.

He rejoined Manchester United last season from Juventus and continued like he never left, although the team struggled for consistency and barely qualified for the Europa League at the end of the season.
