The Udinese star had his breakout season during the last term and has courted suitors from home and abroad
Super Eagles-eligible Udinese wing-back, Destiny Udogie will in a matter of days become Antonio Conte’s seventh signing of the summer after agreeing a verbal deal with Tottenham.
Conte had already signed Ivan Perisic, Clement Lenglet, Richarlison, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma and Djed Spence.
Udogie caught the eyes of big European clubs after a scintillating season last term where he scored seven times and assisted five in 37 games.
The former Hellas Verona star and Italy U-21 international was courted by Inter Milan, Juventus and Tottenham but the North Londoners seem to have shown greater seriousness.
According to Calciomercato, Udogie loves the Premier League and fancies a move to England.
The deal is expected to be in the region of €25m including add-ons and will see Udogie feature in the first team while he also has an opportunity to play in the Champions League.
The flying defender has committed his international future to the Azzurris and has been knocking on the door for some time.
He recently expressed his displeasure at being ignored for the senior team despite making it into Roberto Mancini’s squad of Italian national team hopeful.
