Super Eagles star has been linked with a move away from his newly-promoted Andalusian club but nothing has been agreed so far
Sadiq Umar has been linked with Villarreal all summer long but a move is yet to materialise.
Umar opened his La Liga sojourn last week with Almeria against Real Madrid despite strong links to the Ceramica. In the past few days however, Getafe have shown strong interest and have submitted an official first offer which was rebuffed by Almeria according to Fichajes.
Almeria are however resigned to fate and expect Sadiq to leave but for a substantial fee. His sale is expected to help the club balance its books and register more players.
Getafe is planning on submitting a second bid around €20m believed to be enough to prise Umar away from Almeria despite the Andalusian club holding out for €30m.
The player has already left his apartment and is looking at a move in the coming days. A deal is however believed to be possible towards the end of the transfer window with Sadiq expected to feature for Almeria again this weekend.
Getafe want Edinson Cavani and are planning to throw a double-pronged attack of both forwards should their plan come through.
Sadiq, a proven scorer in the second division of Spanish football can also provide and looked sharp against Real Madrid.
Villarreal and Getafe are the two Spanish teams with vested interests with Borussia Dortmund also linked in Germany but a deal has since broken down.
