It has been a mixed Saturday of European league football for Super Eagles stars with some players recording their first start of the season, while others had new achievements
Everton vs Nottingham Forest
Alex Iwobi continued his strong vein of form as he played his 100th game for Everton. The former Arsenal midfielder had a perfect first half winning duels and completing his take-ons.
He is being dubbed Everton’s best player at the moment “by a country mile” and has their fans impressed about his quality.
While the game ended 1-1 against Nottingham Forest which had Taiwo Awoniyi feature for 63 mins, Iwobi impressed.
Emmanuel Dennis didn’t feature in the game at all as he was on the bench for the entire duration of the game.
Leicester vs Southampton
Leicester have started the season with struggles as they lost their second straight game in three. The Foxes have now managed one out of nine points.
Southampton had Joe Aribo involved for 88 minutes while Wilfred Ndidi was involved in the whole duration of the game. Aribo picked a yellow card for simulation in the game.
Kelechi Iheanacho came on in the 76th minute for Harvey Barnes as Aribo tasted his first Premier League victory after three games.
Brentford lost 3-2 at Fulham in a London derby but didn’t name Frank Onyeka in the team on Saturday. The former FC Ebedei midfielder was on the bench from start to finish in the game.
