‘His concentration is better than last season’ – Super Eagles star gets coach’s credits

Umar Sadiq has been the subject of an exit this season but his coach has said his training has vastly improved

Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia simply known as Rubi has hailed Sadiq on how much his training has improved.

Sadiq has been strongly linked with an exit from Almeria but a concrete agreement is still far from being in place, with Getafe and Villarreal interested.

Rubi said the Nigerian’s performance and growth in training have been better.

“Of course it would be great news if he stays. Also, I think he has a much higher level of concentration than last year in training and that will bear fruit,” Rubi said in a Press conference ahead of their game against Elche

I’m sure he will reap its rewards because of how he is working on day to day. He is a player who, every season I see him more and more polishing details that were difficult for him to improve. So, hopefully he can be with us and hopefully also, regardless of that, we can balance the numbers so that we are with all the signings what have we done”.

Sadiq featured in La Liga for the first time last week and did well in the game against Real Madrid.

He’s highly regarded at the club and they want to keep him but if a good offer comes in, they have indicated positive interests in letting him leave.
