Super Eagles star agrees personal terms with Atalanta

Atalanta have closed in on the signing of the Nigerian international as a deal is imminent

Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman is set to move to Bergamo where he will team up with Atalanta.

The Gian Piero Gasperini-led Atalanta will complete the former Charlton Athletic winger’s signing in the coming days as both parties have agreed on personal terms, according to Italian  transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

“Atalanta are now set to sign Ademola Lookman from RB Leipzig. Talks are at final stage, personal terms agreed. Deal imminent for former Leicester winger,” he said.

The Journeyman’s journey takes another turn

Since emerging from Charlton Athletic as a brilliant young winger some years ago, Lookman has been on a bumpy career ride.

It has been difficult to call any club home as he has been sent on different loan spells to clubs in England.

After being signed permanently by RB Leipzig, Lookman has gone on loan to Fulham where he couldn’t save the Cottagers from the drop in 2020 and also played at Leicester last season.

His presence at the King Power Stadium last season brought some positives but his performance seem to convince Leicester owners to dip their hands into the purse and sanction a permanent deal.
