Leicester City defender, Ashleigh Plumptre has not been selected as part of the Super Falcons squad to face Botswana
The reason for Plumptre’s absence is yet to be known as she is also not named on the bench for the Botswana game.
Waldrum made three changes to the team that lost to South Africa in the first game. Chiamaka Nnadozie has returned between the sticks after serving a suspension against South Africa.
Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, and Francesca Ordega are the only other changes made in the team with Plumptre and Oshoala the only forced chnages made to the team.
Botswana defeated Burundi 4-2 in their first game while the Super Falcons lost to South Africa. A victory against the southern Africans will brighten Nigeria’s chances of progression to the quarter final of the competition, with Botswana to face their neighbours, South Africa in the third group game.
