Napoli responds to reported Bayern interest in Osimhen

Bayern Munich have been linked with a move for the Nigerian forward but nothing concrete has been established

Napoli have denied receiving any formal interest in Victor Osimhen from German giants, Bayern Munich.

The Neapolitans have dealt with multiple reports of Osimhen attracting interests from Europe’s top clubs this season, with the Premier League, the most concerted.

None of the reported moves has led to a concrete offer so far as Napoli have slammed a €110m price tag on their most-prized asset.

The former Lille forward had been touted to be an archetypal Bayern forward by former Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr.

Despite these links, Napoli Director, Giuntoli has denied Bayern have made any move for the former Wolfsburg forward.

“We’ve not received any bid from FC Bayern for Victor Osimhen. Also, we’re not in talks to sell Hirving Lozano – we count on him for this season” Giuntoli said.

Napoli have already lost Senegalese star defender, Kalidou Koulibaly after he completed a £31m move to Chelsea.

Osimhen is also believed not to be ruling out a Napoli exit but he will cost a leg and an arm for his potential destination due to his huge Napoli valuation.

Should he stay, he will have to be the focal point of Napoli’s ambitions as the club has lost some of its best legs including skipper Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens and Koulibaly.
