More financial details of Bassey’s imminent Ajax move revealed

More financial details of the imminent transfer of Calvin Bassey to Ajax have been revealed

Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has revealed more financial details involving the transfer of the Rangers defender.

Bassey is expected to complete a €22m move to the Dutch champions in the coming days.

Rangers will receive €5m as add-ons and will also get 10% of future sale on the 22-year-old defender.

The player is expected to sign a long-term contract and will get down straight to business with the club.

Bassey joined Rangers two years ago after being released from Leicester without a single senior appearance.

While making his debut since 2020, he didn’t enjoy his true breakout season until last term when he made the Europa League team of the Year and won the man-of-the-match in the Scottish Cup final, helping Rangers win for the first time in 13 years.

Bassey also made his Super Eagles debut this year against Ghana in Kumasi and has gone on to represent the team a further five times.

He is considered one of the best players in the current Super Eagles setup and at 22, is seen as one with a massive potential for the future.
