It has been some interesting and busy past few days for the Super Eagles forward as he has become a centre of interest across various clubs
Cyriel Dessers has been spotted with FC Copenhagen Directors with a move to the Danish capital believed to be on the cards.
Should the move happen, Dessers will be the third Nigerian at the club after Akinkunmi Amoo and Paul Mukairu.
The former Heracles forward played on loan at Feyenoord last season and was a major presence in the Europa Conference League where he scored 10 goals and won the top scorer.
Despite his excellent European feat, Feyenoord didn’t sanction a permanent move to the club and the forward had to return to parent club, Genk.
Genk consider Dessers a good source of revenue for the club and are looking to cash in on him.
Serie A side Cremonese are believed to be in pole position for Dessers’ signature but the allure of Champions League football at Copenhagen may be tempting.
“We’ll see what comes next. There is some interest. It all starts to move. I’m just as curious as you about what Genk will say,” Dessers said in an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws via VI.
“I don’t know if Feyenoord is still an option. You will have to ask them. Serie A is a top competition, and that’s what I dream of. It’s all a matter of waiting, although I think everyone could see today that I give everything for Genk.”
