Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari met Super Eagles star, Kenneth Omeruo in Spain on Thursday
Omeruo handed a signed jersey to the President and also gave him another jersey numbered 1.
The player also stood for photos with the Nigerian President and was asked a funny question as they posed for photos.
”I hope you’re not taller than me?” Buhari asked the Leganes defender and everyone in the room burst into laughter.
Omeruo is one of a few number of Nigerian footballers plying their trade in Spain.
Buhari left Nigeria for the European country on Monday as he met with the Spanish President over some agreements.
The Nigerian President reached seven bilateral agreements with the Spanish government on Wednesday before meeting the Super Eagles star on Thursday in Madrid, the Spanish capital.
Omeruo is currently the Super Eagles’ longest standing player alongside Ahmed Musa and has been part of every tournament Nigeria has participated in since 2013.
The former Chelsea defender will not be a part of the Super Eagles squad to face Ecuador in New Jersey on Friday morning (Nigerian time).
