Training shows Peseiro’s tenure will be different – Super Eagles star impressed by coach

Ahmed Musa has said the coach’s methods and belief in the players have been a positive for the team as the Super Eagles prepare for the clash against Sierra Leone on Thursday

Musa said Peseiro has been very involving with him, and has shown he’s bringing a different approach to the Super Eagles.

The Super Eagles captain said the coach has been good with training and has carried players along with his decisions.

He admitted knowledge of a reduced interest in the Super Eagles but said they will work hard to make Nigerians follow and like them again.

“I would say the very first time that I met him we spoke a lot,” Musa revealed at Wednesday’s Press Conference.

“And if you have a manager that believe in your country and that he is coming to win the Nations Cup I think he knows what he saw that made him say that.

“I will ask Nigerians to still believe in the players because I know we have the best of players that can do that. So it’s left for us the players to prove him right that with what he saw we are going to deliver.

“So for me with the kind of training I saw I believe the Super Eagles will be very different from what people saw before. I think with this manager a lot of things will change.”

Musa joins other players who have praised the coach’s inputs since he joined the Nigerian team.
