Sunday Oliseh reveals the ex-Super Eagles player he always loves to play with

Sunday Oliseh and Tijani Babangida’s relationship has lasted decades as both players grew from becoming teammates at the Atlanta 96’ Olympics to playing in the same side at Ajax Amsterdam

Oliseh, a former coach of the Super Eagles and Nigerian football legend revealed that his best pair in football is ‘Baba’ as he calls the winger.

He revealed this on a Podcast, Special Delivery by Athlst hosted by his former Atlanta 96’ teammate, Emmanuel Babayaro and also having in attendance, Matthew Edafe.

Babangida is one of Nigeria’s finest wingers ever, a member of the victorious Atlanta 96’ gold-winning team and a player particularly revered for his heroics at the Ghana/Nigeria 2000 AFCON.

Fast, direct and skillful, Oliseh said the former Roda JC player is the one man he always love to have in his team.

The former Juventus midfielder also mentioned Rashidi Yekini as another teammate he enjoyed playing with despite the goalsfather’s style largely being misunderstood by many.

Oliseh also describes Babangida as his lifelong friend and confidant and a man he respects and honours.

The former FC Taraba Chairman was drafted in as Oliseh’s Adviser when he handled the Super Eagles.
