Mikel to host talent showcase programme in Nigeria

Former Super Eagles skipper will be the host of a talent showcase programme in Nigeria

John Obi Mikel will host a talent showcase programme in Nigeria as revealed by the talent management company he’s signed to, Avianna & Harvey Entertaiments.

Mikel in a video revealed he will be in Nigeria to find talents in football, basketball and other sports between the 9th and 12th of June.

The former Chelsea star was announced as a client of the company on the 20th of May.

“Our Client, @mikel_john_obi will be hosting his first talent showcase in Nigeria called “Back2Base with John Obi Mikel” the company said in a Twitter post.

Mikel said Back2Base is “a platform with enormous opportunities and it’s for kids who want to play basketball, football, tennis. I’m going to be a part of it and I’ll play with you guys and everyone will have the opportunity to showcase their talents.

“It’s going to be hosted in Lagos, UNILAG and people should come out and let’s have fun.”

Mikel has not been attached to any club since his contract was terminated by a club in Kuwait.
