FIFA to unveil host cities for record-making World Cup later today

World football governing body, FIFA is set to unveil host cities for the first World Cup to be hosted in three different countries

FIFA will on Thursday announce host cities for the next World Cup to be jointly-hosted by Mexico, United States and Canada.

The 48-team World Cup sees FIFA take the tournament to three neighbouring countries for the first time ever and will announce host cities across all three countries.

FIFA announced on Thursday and revealed the event will be shown on its FIFA+ TV at 5:00 p.m.

The 2026 World Cup will see 9 representatives from Africa with the Super Eagles expected to put its failure of 2022 behind and make it to the historic World Cup.

Nigeria also has a a heavy presence in the United States and Canada and the World Cup potentially means greatly to Nigerian businesses and Nigerians.

It’s the first time since USA 94’ that the World Cup will be hosted in North America.
