The last time the Gers won the trophy was 2009, but the Nigerian stars put up an excellent show at Hampden Park to end the long wait
Super Eagles stars Calvin Bassey, Joe Aribo, and Leon Balogun put up brilliant performances for Rangers to help their side to their first Scottish Cup trophy in 13 years.
After losing out on the Europa League to Eintracht Frankfurt via penalties in midweek, the Gers looked to put the defeat behind them and claim their first Scottish Cup victory in 13 years.
Rangers boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst named Super Eagles trio Aribo, Bassey, and Balogun in his starting lineup.
Rangers were on top for most embers of the game, but they lacked the cutting edge in front of goal.
However, the few times Hearts came knocking, Rangers kept a solid line. Balogun and Bassey wrote solid as a rock on the afternoon, neutralizing every attack that came their way.
Bassey also made brilliant runs to support the attack. Unfortunately, the Gers could not see out the tie in normal time.
Nonetheless, the Gers showed champions stuff in extra time, as two goals from Ryan Jack and Scott Wright sealed a 2-0 victory for the Gers.
The triumph at Hampden Park ends a 13-year wait for the Scottish Cup.
