The youngster had a decent campaign with Manchester United’s Under-18, and he has been rewarded with his first professional deal at Old Trafford
Nigeria-eligible midfielder Maximilian Oyedele has signed his first professional contract with Premier League giants Manchester United.
Oyedele has spent his entire life in Manchester. The 17-year-old has fast-made a name for himself at Old Trafford. Operating primarily as a defensive midfielder, Oyedele made 22 appearances in the Under-18 Premier League, scoring two goals. He also scored a goal in the run-up to his side’s Youth FA Cup triumph.
The youngster has been rewarded for his brilliant displays, as Sportowe Fakty reports that the English giants have tied him to a two-year deal.
With this deal, Oyedele could become a regular for the U-23 team by next season.
Oyedele was born in England to a Polish mother and a Nigerian father, and as such, he is eligible for Nigeria, England, and Poland.
He plays for the Polish youth teams, but he can switch allegiances to Nigeria according to FIFA rules.
