After helping Lorient beat the drop this season, one of the club’s Nigerian stars may be on his way out
A season which started on a rather difficult note for Terem Moffi saw him finish strongly and just at the right time.
Lorient beat the drop with a game to spare with one of their Nigerian exports playing a major role in their safety.
Moffi scored 8 goals and contributed four assists in 37 games and may have done enough to court attention from Nantes.
According to Les Transferts, Nantes, currently having Moses Simon on their books want Moffi as replacement for their French forward, Randal Kolo Muani who’s on his way to Europa League winners, Eintracht Frankfurt. Muani will join the Bundesliga side on the 1st of July.
Moffi, 23, will be willing to join the French Cup winners as it is considered an upward trajectory relative to his current level.
The attacker was mostly played as a winger under Christophe Pellisier last season and may also fancy Nantes’ participation in European football next season.
