Lampard wants another Nigerian star at Everton

The Nigerian star has been outstanding in the Turkish Super Lig, and the toffees are considering recruiting him if they stay afloat

Premier League side Everton is considering signing Nigerian right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel from Fenerbahce this summer.

It has been a disappointing season for Everton, as they have fallen way below their standard. The toffees, a traditional Premier League club, are fighting to avoid relegation.

However, with the pressure mounting, Everton has posted brilliant results recently. Wins against Chelsea and Leicester City have put the Toffees in a decent position to avoid the drop.

Nonetheless, if Everton survive relegation, gaffer Frank Lampard could look to reshape the squad. And according to Ensonhaber, the Toffees have identified Fenerbahce fullback Osayi-Samuel as a suitable addition.

The 24-year-old has been brilliant since he left QPR for Fenerbahce in January 2021. The pacy right-back has three goals and six assists in 61 appearances for the Yellow Canaries.

If Everton procure his services, Osayi-samuel will become the second Nigerian at the club alongside Alex Iwobi, who has also been recently deployed as a right wing-back.
