Chukwueze makes La Liga team of the week for the record time

An impressive display against Sevilla has seen the Super Eagles winger make the Whoscored La Liga team of the week for the third time this season

Samuel Chukwueze has been voted in the Who Scored’s La Liga Team of the Week for the second time in a week.

Chukwueze impressed as Villarreal held Sevilla to a 2-2 draw and provided an assist in the game.

With a Whoscored rating of 8.2, the winger got the nod on the right, barely a week after he was selected for his performance against Alaves on the 3rd of May.

He was lively in the game, registering 10 dribbles, a return higher than the entire Sevilla team, and had 47 touches.

His passing was 70% accurate in the game and came close to scoring when he cut into his left foot and fired a shot that hit the crossbar.

Chukwueze had earlier been named in team of the week after his performance in Villarreal’s 5-0 humiliation of Levante. He registered two assists in that game.

The former U-17 international has managed the highest number of team of the week appearances in his career with the Yellow Submarine.
