“We never recover from una breakfast” – Nigerians react to 2023 AFCON qualifiers draws

Opponents of the Super Eagles for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers were revealed on Tuesday with Nigerians reacting to the teams

The Super Eagles have been drawn alongside Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau and São Tomé and Principe/Mauritius in group A.

In what seemed like a relatively easier group, the Super Eagles have been seen to struggle with similar pairings in the past especially immediately after a big failure.

While some Nigerians back the team to bounce back and pick a slot for the 2023 AFCON, others are not counting their eggs before they are hatched and will rather wait for the team to play.

A swathe of reactions have since trailed the draws and on Twitter, many of them seemed withdrawn, as many Nigerians were yet to forget the failure of the World Cup miss to Ghana.

The Super Eagles currently don’t have a coach with a foreign tactician expected to be named in the days ahead.

This however isn’t enough to boost Nigerians’ confidence going into the qualifiers especially on the back of a sloppy home form by the Nigerians.

See some of the reactions below;
