The summer transfer window could be one of the busiest in recent memory, with clubs ready to spend big after the coronavirus-induced financial restrictions
Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis may leave Watford at the end of the season after attracting interest from England and abroad.
The Athletic reports that three unnamed English clubs, one Italian and another Spanish side, are looking to sign Dennis when the transfer window opens in July.
Newcastle and West Ham, two clubs needing attacking reinforcements, could be among those eyeing Dennis.
That is no surprise considering the eye-catching season the Super Eagles striker has had in England.
Dennis has scored ten goals and provided five assists, all while the Hornets, with one of the league’s poorest attacks, are toying with relegation.
The 24-year-old’s 15-goal contribution is the club’s third-best ever in the Premier League, only behind Troy Deeney’s 20-goal contribution and Odion Ighalo’s 18-goal input.
Seen as one of Watford’s most prized assets, Dennis could cost any interested suitor in the region of £20 million to £30 million.
And that would rake in a significant profit for Watford, especially on a player who flopped at Cologne last term and cost just £3 million to acquire from Belgium.
Dennis has four years left on his contract with the Hornets.
