Nigeria will face Ghana and Burkina Faso next month in a regional qualifier
The Flying Eagles will face the Black Meteors of Ghana next month in the WAFU B tournament.
Nigeria were drawn alongside Ghana and Burkina Faso for the tournament with the group winner expected to qualify for the African Youth Championship.
The WAFU Zone B tournament is hosted by Niger and the Flying Eagles will face Ghana on the 8th of May before going on to play against Burkina Faso three days later.
Both matches will be held at the Stade GSK in Niger Republic.
Flying Eagles coach, Ladan Bosso on Monday invited 40 players to the camp of the team.
These players were selected across local academies and professional clubs in the country.
Players in camp are expected to be pruned to a lower number before the salad travels to Niger.
The Flying Eagles, under Bosso, missed out on the last AYC after failing to overcome Ghana at the WAFU Zone B tournament.
Nigeria are in a difficult group and will hope to make it to the AYC in order to have a shot at the World Youth Championships.
