Mission impossible awaits two Super Eagles stars following Jose Mourinho’s latest comments

The former Chelsea manager will leave no stone unturned in powering I Giallorossi to the maiden edition of the Conference League

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has revealed the mindset behind his Europa Conference League ambitions in what should worry Ademola Lookman, Kelechi Iheanacho, and their Leicester City teammates.

AS Roma and Leicester City face off later today in the first leg of their Europa Conference League semifinals showdown at the King Power Stadium.

2016 Premier League winners Leicester, gunning for their first major continental trophy, will look to Iheanacho and Lookman to provide the firepower to shoot down the Italians.

Iheanacho has contributed a goal and an assist in six appearances in the competition, while Lookman has two assists.

And with the return of veteran forward Jamie Vardy from injury, not forgetting the exciting Patson Daka, Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers will believe he has enough in the arsenal to secure a healthy first-leg advantage to take to Roma next week.

But AS Roma manager Mourinho has sent a stern warning to Leicester City that his singular focus is on winning the Conference League for I Giallorossi.

The former Chelsea manager is a two-time winner of the more prestigious UEFA Champions League, but he insists he is not underrating the continent’s third-tier club competition.

In what should worry Leicester City, Mourinho vows that the Yellow and Reds will fight fiercely for the trophy to compensate for their sacrifices this season.

“I see this as my competition right now,” said Mourinho, according to the Guardian.

“That’s because I’m not in the Champions League or the Europa League, I’m in this and I’m in it to win. It’s my competition.

“We need to fight to the bitter end because we have suffered for this competition and dropped league points pursuing it.”

Considered one of the most decorated managers ever, Mourinho has claimed 25 titles in his coaching career, including three Premier League titles with Chelsea, two Serie A trophies with Inter Milan, and the 2017 Europa League with Manchester United.
