Arsenal could end Osimhen pursuit if they sign Manchester City star

The Gunners have been keeping tabs on Osimhen, but it seems as though they have found another option

Arsenal could end their pursuit of Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen if they succeed in securing the services of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

Since the last transfer window, the North London giants have been seriously linked with a move for Osimhen, but all their attempts fell through. However, they could end all links with the former Lille man soon, as the Daily Express reports that the Gunners are in advanced talks with Manchester City to sign Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal could get the Brazilian striker for £27million. And if the deal goes through, it could be tough for them to shill out another 80-100million euros for Osimhen, especially as they need reinforcements in midfield and defense.

Over the years, the Gunners have been shrewd with their transfers, preferring to make one marquee signing at a time.

Nonetheless, Osimhen could still seal a transfer to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Newcastle as possible destinations.

  • Victor Osimhen should not go near Arsenal. That club will not make him one of the world's greatest and most feared strikers.
He should remain with Napoli AND hone his skills there before leaving. If he leaves for Arsenal for bigger money today, his fortunes will dwindle and with it his worth.
Osimhen is on the verge of making history for himself and Nigeria on one condition, that he concentrates on/perfects his footballing skills. He will not find the time to do that in a new club such as Arsenal, which problem, like ManU's, is more of a structural nature and less of the absence of good players.
He must be humble and willing to learn. This would make his work easier. It is time another African - like George Weah - breaks a new path in world football again. In this generation, the African most favoured to achieve that purpose is Victor Osimhen. He owes himself, Africa and Nigeria the debt. "No dulling," Victor...
