Super Eagles camp ahead of the clashes against Ghana has opened with five of the invited players in camp as at the time of filing this report.
Watford defender and vice captain of the team, William Troost-Ekong, Brentford’s Frank Onyeka and Ekong’s “Oyinbo wall” pairing, Rangers’ Leon Balogun have arrived camp.
Al Hilal of Saudi attacker, Odion Ighalo, FC Torino’s Ola Aina and West Bromwich Albion’s Semi Ajayi are the other players in camp at the moment.
Soccernet had earlier reported that captain of the team, Ahmed Musa arrived Nigeria on Sunday but is yet to resume to the camp of the Super Eagles. His Instagram location read Kano at the time.
More players are expected in camp ahead of the game against Ghana on Friday with majority of the players expected today.
Umar Sadiq’s club, UD Almeria sought permission for the player to arrive later than others as he’s considered a key cog in their title pursuits in the La Liga Smart Bank. Sadiq is expected to arrive after the game Tenerife.
The Super Eagles management invited 25 players and seven are on standby.
