Former U-17 international, Samson Tijani was in action for Red Bull Salzburg as they thumped Altach to maintain a grip on their league lead.
Tijani, a former captain of the Nigerian U-17 came on as a substitute in the 62nd minute. He replaced Malian midfielder, Mohammed Camara.
Kano-born, Nigeria-eligible striker Chukwubuike Adamu opened the floodgates on the evening in the 12th minute before Maximilian Wobber and Luka Susic scored the second and the third goal on the 22nd and 26th minute respectively.
German international attacker of Nigerian descent, Karim Adeyemi compounded Altach’s woes on stoppage time when he scored from the spot to make it 4-0.
Adeyemi had come on as a substitute for Adamu after the break.
It was Tijani’s third game of the season in the league after being promoted into the Salzburg team from their farm team, Liefering who play in the second division of Austrian football.
The one-time capped Super Eagles midfielder is also expected to be in Salzburg’s squad to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night. He was an unused substitute in the first leg and may make his debut in the game at the Allianz Arena.
