The Ghana Football Association has held the squad list to face Nigeria very close to their chest but if recent reports from the Ghanaian press are anything to go by, the list may be announced today.
According to Ghana Soccernet, the list will be announced on Monday as coaches of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and George Boateng have arrived Ghana ahead of the clashes.
Technical Advisor Chris Hughton has also arrived the country.
Ghana captain, Jordan Ayew and Benjamin Tetteh are not expected to be in the squad following their red cads at the African Cup of Nations.
Rennes youngster Kamaldeen Sulemana may also not feature in the game following a back injury which has kept him out of action since February 11.
Ajax’s Muhammed Kudus is expected back in the squad after missing out on the AFCON while regular suspects, Arsenal’s Daniel Amartey and Leicester’s Thomas Partey are also expected in the squad.
St.Pauli midfielder Daniel Kofi-Kyereh who is on a hot streak in the Bundesliga 2 will also be a part of the Black Stars to face Nigeria.
Roma’s Felix Afena-Gyan and a host of other new faces and some returnees have been penciled to make the squad.
Ghana will host Nigeria on Friday, March 25th before travelling to Abuja to play the second leg of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers on the 29th of March.
