NFF makes ‘strange’ request to Ghana Sports Ministry ahead of World Cup playoffs

Nigeria Football Federation has made a strange request to the Ghanaian Football Association ahead of the World Cup playoffs between both rivals.

According to foremost Ghanaian sports journalist, Nuhu Adams, the NFF made a request to have 10,000 tickets ahead of the first leg clash against Ghana set to be hosted at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The stadium according to the report has a maximum capacity of 15,000 people during matches.

NFF’s request means it wants almost 70% of the entire stadium capacity despite playing away from home. While it’s yet to be known what the GFA’s response was, the request has been deemed laughable by Ghanaians.

Nigeria will travel to Ghana to face the Black Stars on the 25th of March in the first leg of the fixture, with the return leg expected to be held on the 29th of March at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

While Nigeria has released a 30-man squad, Ghanaians are yet to know who will be on the list.

  • They make. It secret while doing everything to study the Nigerian team ... They already knew that the Nigerian team is made up of attackers so they are trying to make sure dey invite good midfielders that wil stop the ball from getting to the attack of the Nigerian team. And they want to have good defense so that dey can score with counter attack which was wat the tunnsians used to bundle Nigeria out of the afcon . The know the Nigerian team are coming to Ghana for a win . So the. Coach has consulted his friends close to the coach of the tunnsians team for more updates on the Nigerian team . .. the final resolution wat that the Nigerian defence man can commit red card offence and a penalty in the box during counter . And they hope to bring Sulley mutari because of his long range ball which the Nigerian keepers is not good at catching . And they want to plant to score in the 90th minutes because the Nigerian team will not be fit to play 90 mins .... Everything I got from dairy of the coach here which he forgot in the hotel here .

  • There these Nigerians go again. What a heck do they think they are? If we allow them, they will overrun us in all events leading to thus crucial tie with them. We better watch put.

  • Whatever happens, it's going to be a tough match and the team with the greater desire will win.

  • These Ghanaians are too scared of Nigeria, the way they hype themselves up , they would end up exhausted before the matches, imagine hoping for a red card offence from your opponent and going so low as to collect tabs from Tunisia , funny. Their plans are dead before arrival. You will play against professionals and not school kids . Do better homework and stop hoping for some nasty red card offence . Ghana will fall both home and away, this is sure bet .
