Ghana coach says strategies and players are in place to defeat Super Eagles

Otto Addo, the coach of the Black Stars of Ghana has said the team has belief in the methods and players in place ahead of their matches against Nigeria.

The Black Stars will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Kumasi on Friday, the 25th of March before travelling to Abuja for the second leg of the qualifiers.

Addo, in an address posted by the Ghana Football Association said they will work hard to qualify.

Ghana have refused to release a squad list until now ahead of the clash against Nigeria, but have had players arriving camp, with Roma youngster, Felix Afena-Gyan one of the players reportedly invited.

”We all expect Ghana to qualify for the World Cup Qatar 2022 and we need to do our best to make it to this tournament,” Addo said.

“The players, the technical team, and the GFA are committed to this task. We really want to make ourselves and the nation proud by qualifying for this upcoming World Cup.

“Matches between Ghana and Nigeria are always difficult but we believe in our players, we believe in our strategies and we believe in the unflinching support of all Ghanaians as we go into these two matches.

“We are Ghana and we have what it takes to come out victorious.”

The team’s Technical Advisor also addressed Ghanaians in a video since posted by the GFA.

  • What kind of strategy is by hiding your team list(GFA)? Can someone help me understand how that will help win matches? Are the players coming from the moon because we know who they are. Or do Messi, Cavani and Ronald switch nationality to Ghana? Lol. This is greatest joke of the century and very immature on GFA. We know their quality but Egurvoun and Super Eagles shouldn’t underestimate them. By this act of hiding team list GFA is still very backward! Lol

  • This act of theirs is very immature and senseless. In this modern age, I can't believe any team can be hiding list. Yeye dey smell!!
