Former Super Eagles attacker, Daniel Amokachi has taken a swipe at Ghana over their current stadium situation.
Amokachi on an inspection of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja hailed the condition of the pitch and said “look at how beautiful the pitch is. We are all ready, but some people are still looking for a stadium. Some people are still in confusion. You know who I’m talking about,” he said jokingly.
Ghana is caught in limbo as they face a venue change ahead of their game against the Super Eagles. The Ghana Football Association and National Sports Authority have mentioned the Baba Yara Sports Comolex, Kumasi as potential venue for the fixture but FIFA regulations on naming venues have made this a difficult move.
The Ghanaians will wait to hear FIFA’s verdict on their request to change venues from the Cape Coast Stadium to Baba Yara.
Ghana according to reports may also be taken to any of Benin, Morocco or Cameroon for the first leg of their game against Nigeria which is just ten days away.
