All 25 invited players now in Super Eagles camp ahead of Ghana clash

John Noble and Umar Sadiq completed the Super Eagles squad to face Ghana as they arrived on Wednesday.

Enyimba goalkeeper, Noble was drafted in on Tuesday after the NFF announced that Maduka Okoye is suffering from illness.

Noble has joined Kaizer Chiefs’ Daniel Akpeyi and Omonia Nicosia’s Francis Uzoho as the three goalkeepers in camp.

Almeria’s Sadiq also arrived the Abuja camp of the Super Eagles on Wednesday as the coaches now have a full complement of players to work with ahead of the game against Ghana.

The Super Eagles have held two training sessions so far and are scheduled to hold more before travelling to Ghana on Thursday.

Players invited for the clashes against Ghana are;

Goalkeepers: Francis Uzoho (AC Omonia, Cyprus); Daniel Akpeyi (Kaizer Chiefs, South Africa); Maduka Okoye (Sparta Rotterdam, The Netherlands) replaced by John Noble (Enyimba)

Nigeria will face the Black Stars on the 25th and 29th of March in a crucial World Cup qualifier games for Qatar 2022.

The winner of the game is expected to pick one of Africa’s five tickets to the World Cup. Nigeria have qualified for the past three editions of the World Cup and are tipped to make it to the fourth on a bounce.

Ghana made it to the World Cup three times on a trot between 2006 and 2014 but missed out on the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
