Leicester City winger Ademola Lookman has become the 23rd player to arrive the camp of the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday.
Lookman was an early doubt for the game but looks to have shaken off the illness that ruled him out of the Foxes’ clash against Brentford during the weekend.
“Naija, mo ti de (Nigeria, I have arrived),” Lookman announced in Yoruba via the NFF’s official Instagram account.
All twenty three players in camp went on another training session this morning as strategies ahead of the game against Ghana are getting perfected.
Almeria’s Sadiq Umar is still expected to team up with the rest of the squad on Wednesday after playing late on Monday in a hard-fought 1-0 win against Tenerife.
Nigeria will travel to Ghana to face the Black Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday March 25th before hosting the Black Stars in Abuja, Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory on the 29th of March.
The Super Eagles have met Ghana eight times at the World Cup qualifiers winning two against the Ghanaians’ two wins. Both teams have played four draws in their meetings.
