‘There’s still hope’- Ndidi believes Leicester can turn their season around

The Foxes have failed to replicate last season’s displays this season, but Ndidi believes they still have time to turn the tides around

Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi believes Leicester City can turn the tides around and end the season strongly.

Since Brendan Rodgers took over at the King Power three years ago, Leicester City have posted eye-catching displays.

The Foxes were brilliant last season, beating Chelsea in the finals to claim their first FA Cup title. They also finished fifth on the Premier League table, narrowly missing out on the Champions League spots on the final day of the season.

However, despite the great promise that they have shown in recent times, Leicester City have flattered to deceive this season.

They sit 11th in the Premier, with just seven wins from 22 games. Also, they were knocked out of the FA Cup embarrassingly after a 4-1 loss to Championship side Nottingham Forest.

The Foxes are also out of the EFL Cup after losing to Liverpool shambolically. They also dropped to the Europa Conference League after getting ousted in the group stages of the Europa League.

Nonetheless, Ndidi believes his side still have the time and quality to turn things around.

“There’s still hope, the season is still on, so anything can happen in opportunities that you get, so I believe anything can still happen,” Ndidi said at the presser for their game against Randers.

Leicester City face Randers in their Conference League playoff tonight, and they would hope that a victory would spark their revival.
