Messi or Ronaldo: Iheanacho reveals his choice as he also includes Kanu in his all-time Nigeria five A-side

The man of the moment was put through a series of quickfire questions, which ranges from his favourite musicians and songs at the moment

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has said he could not choose between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, saying he admires both players.

Iheanacho said this in a series of rapid-fire questions on NFF TV. Ronaldo and Messi’s battle has been the biggest rivalry in football this century, with their comparisons one of the most polarising discussions in the beautiful game.

Iheanacho, who scored Nigeria’s goal against Egypt in their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations opener, was asked to delve into the issue.

However, the 25-year-old revealed he could not separate them.

When asked if he would choose Messi or Ronaldo, Iheanacho said: “Both. You need a bit of them to make it.

The former Manchester City man was also asked to choose between Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido, which is another comparison that divides opinion.

But Iheanacho was once again diplomatic in his response, selecting the three acts.

The former Golden Eaglets star also included himself in his all-time favourite Nigerian five-aside. Iheanacho selected Vincent Enyeama in goal, Taribo West in defence, Wilfred Ndidi and Jay-Jay Okocha in the midfield.

He included himself and former Arsenal star Kanu Nwankwo up front but said he would swap himself for Obafemi Martins.
