‘Thankful To GOD’- Osimhen speaks for the first time as he returns to training following his injury

The Nigerian striker has spoken for the first time since he suffered a left cheekbone and orbital fracture in November

Victor Osmihen has thanked God, Napoli and his fans for their support as he makes his comeback from a nasty facial injury.

Osimhen broke his left cheekbone and orbit after colliding with Milan Skriniar in Napoli’s Serie A game against Inter Milan at the San Siro on November 21.

The Nigerian international went through a complicated but successful surgery. Osimhen was initially ruled out for three months, but the Super Eagles striker has returned to training, just three weeks after his surgery, although he has not resumed contact training.

And following his return to personal training, Osimhen has thanked those who offered him support during his road to recovery.

The former Lille star took to his Twitter account to thank God, Napoli, the surgeon, who performed the surgery, and his fans for their support.

Osimhen’s return to training is a massive boost for the Super Eagles, who will be hoping to have their talisman striker fit for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
