Report: Leicester City interested in signing another Super Eagles star

The Foxes already have two Nigerian internationals at the King Power Stadium, but the number could increase to three when the transfer window opens in January

Leicester City are the latest Premier League club to be linked with a move for Super Eagles and Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo.

According to Fichajes, as per Leicester Mercury, The Foxes are considering bringing in Aribo when the January transfer window opens next month.

Leicester already have Super Eagles stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho in their squad, and that could give them the edge in the race to sign the Rangers star.

Aribo has been linked with a move away from Rangers following his impressive performances for the Ibrox side this season.

The former Charlton man has taken his game to an exceptional level this year and has been Rangers best player this campaign.

He has scored six goals and registered four assists in 20 league games for The Gers this season, but more importantly, his all-round play has been a delight to watch.

The 25-year-old has been a key figure under Giovanni van Bronkhorst, who replaced Steven Gerrard as Rangers boss.

Gerrard left Rangers to take over Aston Villa, and he has also been linked with a move with a player he brought on a free transfer from Charlton to the Ibrox.

Crystal Palace are another Premier League side that have been credited with an interest.

Aribo’s current contract at the Ibrox runs until 2023.

  • It's good, ndidi to real Madrid and aribo to Leicester he can even takeup his place in the starting 11

  • To me I would love Joe to accept this deal if there is anytrue to come from it..

It will be a good partnerships between this two midfielders, talking of Ndidi and Joe.
Which I believe where not untilize properly by our national team.

Joe should take that bold step, bcus I believe he have that big heart. Theleman is there yes, but can be tough.

  • as number one nigeria fans of Leicester city, i will be grateful about this news but we didn't have only two Nigeria players in the team we have three if Aribo joins us, we make it four. ndidi de great, kelechi de senior man, Lookman de look something.
