The three-time African champions have suffered a minor setback in their preparations for the two massive games this month
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will be without Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper Francis Uzoho for their World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
Uzoho excused himself from the squad due to sickness and has been replaced by Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble.
The 23-year-old has lost his place to Maduka Okoye in the national team, but he was in goal for the clash against the Central African Republic at the Teslim Balogun Stadium last month.
The Super Eagles need just a win and a draw from their final two games to seal their place in the playoff round.
They could seal their spot with a win over Liberia in Tangiers on Saturday if Cape Verde fail to beat CAR.
Preparations for the game have already started, and the players are expected to arrive at camp on Monday. Coach Gernot Roh has invited 24-players for the two games.
