The 22-year-old will make his return to the Neapolitans team on Sunday, and ahead of his comeback, his manager has compared him to one of the all-time greats
Napoli coach Luciano Spalleti has compared his star striker to two former AC Milan stars, Marco Van Basten and George Weah.
Both Van Basten and Weah lit up the San Siro during their playing days, winning the Ballond’Orr too. While Osimhen is not a Ballond’Orr winner yet, the Nigerian international has started the season like a house on fire.
Napoli currently lead the Serie A table, and Osimhen has played a key role in their success. The former Lille man has scored five goals in nine Serie A games and another four in three Europa League games.
And ahead of Napoli’s game against Hellas Verona, Spalletti believes there are similarities between Osimhen, Weah and Van Basten.
“He is similar to Weah, probably not as strong technically, but with the same quality”, Spalletti said as per Football Italia. “He also reminds me of Van Basten. Osimhen is young, and he can reach those level”.
Osimhen has missed Napoli’s last two games due to a Calf injury, but the Nigerian international is back for the game against Verona.

They haven't seen the best out of Osihmen because he duel in mix of selfish players, if he play in a team with better feeders and also injury free he will become a lion tearing defenders to get goals.
