‘3 points in the bag’- Former Super Eagles captain celebrates Arsenal’s victory

The Gunners continued their impressive run of form with a victory over The Hornets, and a former Nigerian international has expressed his excitement

Former Super Eagles captain Kanu Nwankwo has shared his excitement following Arsenal’s Premier League win over Watford last Sunday.

Mikel Arteta’s men moved up to fifth on the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over the Hornets at the Emirates on Sunday.

The Gunners started their season on a disappointing note with three straight losses, including a 5-0 loss to Manchester City.

However, since the loss to Pep Guardiola’s men, Arsenal are unbeaten in all competitions and have won their last four games, including the 1-0 win against Watford.

Kanu, who was at the stadium to watch the match, took to his Twitter account to congratulate the team for a job well done.

It is not a surprise to see Kanu invested in Arsenal’s results. The former Super Eagles striker is a cult hero at the club.

Kanu made 196 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 44 goals and registering 29 assists. He won two Premier League titles and two FA Cups during his time at the club.
