Report: PSG interested in swapping their Argentine star for Victor Osimhen

The 22-year-old’s form has caught the attention of the Ligue 1 giants, who could make a move for him when the transfer window opens in January

Paris Saint Germain (PSG) are considering making a move for in-form Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. According to Calciomercato, PSG could offer Mauro Icardi in a cash plus swap deal to Napoli for the services of Osimhen.

The Ligue 1 side are looking to offload the Argentine, who is unsettled due to his problems with his wife and agent Wanda-Nara.

And PSG believe Osimhen is the perfect replacement for the former Inter Milan star. The Nigerian international has started the season like a house on fire following an indifferent first year in Naples.

Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille for a club and African record fee of 81.3m euros in 2020. Although he scored ten goals in 24 league games in his debut campaign, more was expected from the Super Eagles star.

However, this season, he is finally showing why Napoli paid top dollar for his services with eight goals in nine games already.

Osimhen is currently valued at 60m euros according to transfermarkt, but PSG will have to pay almost twice that if they are to get their man.

  • Please they should leave Osimhem to settle in Napoli in peace. All these publicity might back fire on him and he will stop performing well

  • Who wouldn't want that guy in their team! He is such. Brilliant fighter. I love how he put up work for matches and always making himself available and also defending, never gets tired. Such a full package.

  • Vic osehimen please, keep making your marks in Napoli. PSG can come later. You are a big fish is a big serial A pond.

  • Stay at Napoli, Psg has too many superstars, you do not want to lose your superstars, good form. Did u see how, Pep Guardiola, treated, Kelechi Iheanacho at Man City, playing him in the wrong position, but look at Kelechi now at Leicester City, striking very well.

  • Victor Osimhen should be left alone to settle down well in Napoli. Please leave him to settle into real action in Italy. Taking him to PSG where you will keep him on the bench isn't good for his promising career in football.

  • NO WAY! NO FREAKING WAY! Osimhen is going nowhere, whether you like it or not! He should continue banging goals for Napoli instead of going to PSG.

  • The current form Osimhen is now it will be absolutely difficult to be kept on the bench by any club or any country for that matter. For your information Victor is the only Nigerian player that could easily break into any national team in the world. He is in such a superb form.

  • I prefer Osimhen staying with Napoli at least till the end of the season, then he may move to PSG, as it will enhance his professional status and market value and also increase his chances of winning titles. Moreover as a nija pikin, he basically went abroad to make money, his wages at PSG will likely be double or even triple of what Napoli is paying. Ah bros check am now!
