Oshoala marks her birthday with a goal as ex-Barcelona captain celebrates the Nigerian

The ex-Liverpool star added another year on Saturday, and she celebrated it with yet another goal as La Blaugranes made it six wins out of six in the Spanish top-flight

Super Falcons captain Asisat Oshoala was again on target as Barcelona Femeni maintained their 100% record in the Spanish Primera Division with a 3-0 win over Atletico Madrid.

Oshoala had scored in the 4-1 win over Arsenal midweek, and she backed up the performance with another goal on Saturday.

The former Arsenal star, who turned 27 on Saturday, tapped home from a rebound after the goalkeeper had saved her initial effort following a cross from Caroline Hansen.

It was Oshoala’s eighth goal of the season in six league games and ninth goal in all competitions. The day even got better for the Nigerian as she received a happy birthday tweet from Barcelona legend Carles Puyol.

It’s the second time this week the former Spain international will congratulate the Nigerian after also praising her performance against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Aitana Bonmatí Conca and Lieke Martens were the other goalscorers for Barcelona on Saturday as they maintained their perfect start to the season.
