The 25-year-old attacker made his second league start of the season, and once again, he showed his quality as the Foxes came from behind to beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men
Kelechi Iheanacho played a vital role as Leicester City returned to winning ways with a dramatic 4-2 win over Manchester United in their Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium.
Iheanacho was handed a second start in the league by Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers after scoring in his first league start two weeks ago.
The former Manchester City man once again grabbed the opportunity as he set up Youri Tielemans in the 31st minute for Leicester’s equaliser after Mason Greenwood had put Man Utd ahead in the 19th minute.
Iheanacho continued to impress following his assist, and he could’ve had a goal to himself, but his effort was saved by De Gea in United’s goal.
The first half ended with the scores tied 1-1, but the Foxes finished stronger. The second half resumed with the home side pushing for a second goal, but De Gea denied Tielemans with a brilliant save.
Iheanacho also had a crack at goal, but his effort was way off the target. It proved to be his last meaningful action in the match as he went off for Patson Daka in the 77th minute.
The substitution spurred Leicester on, and they took the lead a minute later through Çağlar Söyüncü, who slotted home after Daka’s shot was blocked.
But Man Utd drew level immediately through Marcus Rashford, who came on for his first appearance of the season.
However, there was to be more drama as Jamie Vardy’s volley restored Leicester’s lead a minute after Rashford’s equaliser.
Daka then put the icing on the cake with a close-range finish in the first minute of added time.
